Congratulations to our Cross Country Teams who dominated the District meet! Starting with junior high, leading the girls team Searra Clark took 2nd, Emily Fea finished 5th, and Citori Stakes came in 13th! For our Junior High boys team, Ryder Callaway came in 6th, Zechariah Grissom got 8th, and Gage Gray got 9th place followed by Tucker Cravey and Matthew Deggs ending the day with a 2nd place finish for the Junior High Boys Team!
In high school, Jade Tucker finished 2nd followed by Kambrie Lout in 3rd for the JV girls division.
In the JV boys race, Matthew Melton finished 2nd, Caleb Coleman came in 4th, and Kade Ford finished 11th!
Our senior and only runner for girl’s Varsity, Katy Curry finished 3rd and will be competing at the regional contest.
The big win of the day goes to the Varsity Boys Team who brought home the championship led by Jose Jimenez who took 1st place in the district meet followed closely by freshman Josh Grissom in 2nd place. Colton Fredieu finished 11th, Luis Jimenez came in 18th and Landon Heim finished 19th. These runners will represent Spurger at Regionals!
