The Spurger Track teams competed in Zavalla for the 2022 District Meet. Junior, Jose' Jimenez is the District Champion for both the 3200M and 1600M Run. Freshman, Jade Tucker, is the District Champion in the 100M Hurdles. The entire Boys team advanced to the Area meet along with Jade Tucker and Senior Katy Curry for the Lady Pirate Team.
Over the Spring Break, the Spurger high school track team competed at Area in Shelbyville. Four of the students advanced to regionals by placing in the top 4. Katy Curry placed 4th in the 800 meter, Jose Jimenez placed 4th in the mile, Josh Grissom placed 3rd in the 800 meter, and Kade Ford placed 4th in Discus. Coby Anthony will also be competing at Regionals in the 300M Hurdles. Spurger is very proud of these students and wishes each of them luck at the regional competition this week.
