Spurger ISD

On Thursday, February 2, the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors all went to the Career Expo at Ford Park in Beaumont. The expo was held to provide students with opportunities to join the workforce, trade and technical schools, 4-year universities, and the military. Several of the booths had live demonstrations and hands-on activities for STEM, welding, the medical field, and military fitness. Our students participated in those demonstrations including Josie (senior) who learned how to intubate a patient using paramedic training, and Jose' (senior) who had the record of the day for most pull-ups at the Marine booth. Several of our students got to meet Spurger alumni at the event who were representatives for higher education and the workforce.
