We proudly announce Mr. Cory Maxwell as Spurger ISD’s first adjunct teacher for Lamar Institute of Technology. Mr. Maxwell will continue teaching welding courses, but students will now receive dual credit (college hours) simultaneously. Through this grant, students will receive these courses at no cost and graduate from LIT with a level I welding certification. Our goal is to add more adjunct instructors in the next few years. This will allow us to offer a variety of college courses at Spurger High School. We are excited about the opportunities for our students to continue their education.
