Kids get ready to shop til you drop! The Penguin Patch is coming to school next week. Elementary students will have an opportunity to purchase gifts, all by themselves, for their loved ones. This is a great way for kiddos to learn the act of giving, and the joy it brings. The PTO will be available to offer assistance to students, so they can truly surprise their loved ones with wrapped gifts. We just cannot guarantee, in all of their excitement, they will wait until Christmas morning to have you open it. 😊

Hurry up, we’re burnin’ daylight! 2nd graders stepped back in time yesterday, as they traveled to Heritage Village in Woodville. They were treated to a walking tour of a collection of pioneer buildings dated between the 1840's and 1920's. 😊

Congratulations Zechariah! He received a “Positive” Office Referral from Coach Brinkley today who said, “Zechariah always comes into PE with a positive attitude. He loves to compete and always gives his all. He displays great sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. He takes it upon himself to help clean-up without seeking a reward. He is a joy to have in my class!” Great job! 😊

Spurger Elementary was a recipient of the 2019 Educational Alliance School Grant. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to Bill Dover Co, owner of Spurger Exxon, for the $500 grant. This program, sponsored by ExxonMobil, funds math and science programs to schools in need.😊
