
The Police Department and The Fire Department helped Spurger Elementary kick off Red Ribbon Week yesterday morning with a parade of lights and sirens. All students were given badges and got to see what the inside of the cop car and fire truck looked like. Thank you to the officers and firefighters for coming to our school!




1st Grade used sums of 10 to feed the pig!


Saturday, our cheer sponsor's put together a mini cheer camp for the elementary. They learned a cheer and a dance and will be able to perform at the homecoming pep rally and the senior bon fire.

Mr. Drake gave out the Good Citizenship Award to a few students for the 1st nine weeks of school last night at the board meeting ! Congratulations! Keep up the hard work!


Our College, Career, Military Readiness class got a visit from the Army today. These students are learning all about options that they have after high school!


These JH and HS students had their first Principal’s Advisory meeting with Mrs. Hatton yesterday. They learned about food service and state and federal regulations while discussing new ideas for our cafeteria. Thank you Mrs. Leona for being our guest speaker!





Just a reminder for all of the students that signed up for MINI CHEER CAMP Saturday. It will be in the Martin Gym from 9 to 11. Remember to bring a water bottle and to dress accordingly.

Homecoming is right around the corner and our theme this year is year is Keeping It Classic! There is a facebook page with all your parade information that you can join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/281479600467089/ Coronation and Bonfire will be on Thursday, 11/18 and the parade and game will be on Friday, 11/19. The dress up days will start on Monday of that week!


5th and 6th graders that had 25, 50, 75, or 100 points enjoyed free time during reading class!
