Teachers handed out homework packets to parents in the car rider liner today. Coach Brinkley was on deck to pass out lemonade for those coming through. Thank you to our parents and guardians for everything you do. 😊

Assignment pickups will be every Monday until schools reopen.

Students must be present to receive meals. Distribution will be located behind the the Gym/Cafteriea in the bus line.
Attention
On Thursday March 19, 2020, any Spurger ISD students that have personal items or supplies at the school that they need may pick them up between 8am -12 noon and 1pm - 3:30pm. Only five students will be allowed inside at a time, and they will be accompanied by a staff member.

Spurger ISD will be closed to students through Friday 3-20. A flexible schedule will be put in place for students on Monday 3-23. The flexible schedule will be posted Friday by noon. We will operate on this schedule until April 3rd.
There will not be any school tomorrow March 17th for students or staff. Further instructions will be released as soon as we have more information to share.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!!! PreK and Kindergarten visited the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin today. The kiddos had a great time riding the train and seeing the animals. 😊
Woo hoo!!! Who has Perfect Attendance?! We do!!!!! For the first time this year, all of our Elementary kiddos were in attendance. You could probably hear Mr. Drake shout for joy at the news! He didn't let the day go unnoticed for students, as he quickly put together a school-wide snow cone party. Students and staff celebrated under sunny, blue skies on the playground and courtyard. Way to go kiddos!! 😊
Kind, giving, and respectful were all qualities shown by our Pirates today. Once again, Elijah's in Woodville treated our kiddos to lunch for Good Citizenship. Our students were very well behaved, as they enjoyed good food and laughs. They also wanted to make sure their server received the tip that they each brought. Thank you Elijah's Cafe for lunch and your continued support of our school and the others in our county. 😊
Reading buddies by day, friends for life. Ayden passes on his love for reading to Jonathan today. It is a joy to watch as our older students continue to mentor our younger kiddos. 😊
