Girls basketball will play West Hardin at West Hardin on Friday 2-14 at 4:30.
Girls basketball finished district play in 3rd place and will play Bi-District next Monday or Tuesday. Details to follow as soon as we know more.


Be very still!! Yay! It worked! Mrs. Lieby's Kindergarten class participated in the Broomstick Challenge. Students and adults were amazed, as it stood perfectly for all to see. 😊

The seventh grade students attended a STEMs activity field trip to DETCCA’s Jasper Higher Education Center Trades building on January 29th. The students enjoyed presentations regarding 3D printing and the introduction to the Business & Marketing Shark Tank Opportunity. This project provides the planning tools needed to become a Shark Tank entrepreneur! The presentations included step-by-step instructions on how to plan and create a business/product Shark Tank style! Students can submit their business/product to the Mini Shark Tank Opportunity project by March 2nd. Winners will receive $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place and $150 for 3rd place.

Yay!! You're back!! There was a celebration in Ms. Dyson's 1st grade class today, as they welcomed back several old friends. Students jumped for joy and quickly circled their friends, as they entered the room. ❤️😊





A-B-C-D-E-F-G ~ PreK is the place to be!!! Mason received the Superhero award from Mrs. Kirkendall today. This earned him a trip to Mr. Drake's treasure chest for working hard in class all week. Way to go Mason! 😊





Can you crack the code? 4th and 5th grade did!! They participated in a lock box challenge during Mrs. Odom's class. For each task completed correctly, they received a combination for a key. All six keys earned them a prize. 😊





Spurger ISD went into a Shelter in Place for precautionary reasons today around 1 PM and released at 1:30 PM. The school district acted with caution and followed protocol. All is well.

98, 99, and 100!!!!! PreK celebrated the 100 Days of School today. They enjoyed 100 pieces of their favorite snacks, counted to 100 with multiple items, and ended the day popping 100 balloons!! 😊

A, B, C...Easy as 1, 2, 3!! Mrs. Sirmon’s 1st grade class has had a fun time learning this week. They used marshmallows and pretzel sticks to learn place value and enjoyed a quiet time of reading before their AR tests. They recently received a Popcorn Party for overall improved spelling as a class. Way to go kiddos! 😊





There will not be school for Pre-K ONLY on Friday, January 31st due to illnesses in that class. Classes will resume on Monday.

Yo! Yo! Yo! Ned is still in the house!! Yo-yo sales have been extended until Friday. Mr. Drake was excited to see several of our students, at the last ball game, showcasing their talents and yo-yo skills with their friends. 😊

A book is a gift you will open again and again. Kindergarten read The Gruffalo and enjoyed a yummy, gruffalo crunch for snack. They also created their very own Gruffalo to display in the hall. 😊




Which one will I choose? Students have been visiting the office to purchase yo-yos from NED Assemblies this week. All proceeds will contribute to their “Pay It Forward” program, which allows other schools the opportunity to hear their positive message. Sales will continue thru Wednesday. 😊
