Mrs. Saulsbury’s class had a fantastic time celebrating the 100th Day of School! From fun activities to creative projects, our students showed just how much they’ve learned and grown over the past 100 days.

Our elementary school Lost and Found is full of jackets and hoodies. Parents may stop by the front office to see if any of these items belong to their child.

All unclaimed items will be donated after Friday, February 13th.

There will be no school on Friday, January 30th, as we will be hosting District UIL.

If your child is participating in an event, a note with specific times has been sent home.

Classes will resume on Monday, February 2nd.

Our Lady Pirates are off to a strong start in the second half of the season with a hard-fought game against the Chester Lady Jackets, pulling out the win 29-26. The Lady Pirates played as a team, which allowed them to stay in the game and end victorious! Citori Stakes led the team in points with 9, while Summer Merritt and Kyley Perry each had 7 points!
This team has made a lot of progress and is looking for a playoff spot this year. We are proud of our Lady Pirates and look forward to more wins and for the program to continue to grow!

Spurger ISD will resume normal school operations on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and support.

Congratulations to the students who were chosen for their outstanding good citizenship!
These students enjoyed a special lunch at Elijah’s in Woodville as a reward for their positive choices and great attitudes.

Mrs. Saulsbury's class enjoyed reading "It Looked Like Spilt Milk" and expressing their creativity by creating their own spilt milk pictures. It's such a fun way to combine reading, imagination, and art!

Zoe and Elijah worked hard on their phonics work today and did a great job! 📚✏️
They even earned a trip to the treasure chest in the office.

Our English I students have outdone themselves with their Odyssey Movie Posters! Students were asked to analyze their favorite portion of the epic and reimagine the story to design a movie poster using textual evidence and their creativity! These students have their talents on display with these unique and intricate retellings of The Odyssey!

High Island Girls have cancelled tonight , so we will play the Varsity Boys only at 5:30, the boys will not be in 8th period 1/20/26

Coming off a dominant 92–35 win against Goodrich last Friday, the Spurger Varsity Boys continued their hot streak with an impressive 114–43 victory over the Leggett Pirates. They went coast to coast on their home court, controlling the game from start to finish and securing the win to improve to a perfect 4–0 district record. Leading the scoring effort were Alex Haynes and Kade Simpson with 18 points each, followed by Dawson Heim and Joe Fielder with 13 each, Zech Grissom with 12, and Eli Haynes and Cauy Crain each adding 10. With momentum on their side, these Pirates are ready to face the Brookeland Wildcats (4-0) on Friday to break their tied district record and take the lead. The Pirates need your help! Come pack the stands to support our boys as they show the Wildcats what these Pirates are made of!
