🌾🐄 4th Grade Ag Education Day at Tyler County Fairgrounds! 🐖🚜
Our 4th grade students had a fantastic time today at the Tyler County Fairgrounds for Ag Education Day! 🌱 They learned all about agriculture, livestock, farming, and the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives.
From hands-on animal demonstrations to learning how food gets from farm to table, it was a day full of discovery, fun, and learning. 👩🌾👨🌾
Thank you to all the volunteers, presenters, and organizers who made this an unforgettable experience for our students! ❤️👏

📚 Storytime Fun in 2nd Grade! 📚 Mrs. Cooley’s 2nd grade class had a special treat today — their very own storytime with Mrs. Cooley herself! The students loved getting cozy and listening to a great book read aloud by their teacher. It’s moments like these that make learning magical! 💫📖

Our 5th graders are diving into the exciting world of forces and motion! 🚀 This week, they’re learning all about balanced vs. unbalanced forces — what keeps objects still, what makes them move, and how everyday forces like gravity and friction play a part.
With hands-on experiments and engaging discussions, students are discovering how science is all around us — and it's never been more fun!

Spurger High School and Junior High cross country teams have had a strong start in the pre-season meets. Sophomore Naomi Morin took first place at the Chester Cross Country Meet on September 3rd! Naomi just joined the team for the first time this year, and this was her very first race. She competed against approximately 75 other runners. In our latest meet at West Sabine on September 17th, 8th grader Luke Grotte placed first among 155 runners. Our high school boys' teams have started the season strong, bringing home four medals so far. Junior Logan Self placed 12th for JV in the first meet of the season at Hemphill. Juniors Zechariah Grissom and Kyle Grissom both medaled and finished in the top 20 of the varsity competition at the Jackson Hill Marina Broaddus Meet. Additionally, Kyle Grissom also medaled and placed in the top 20 of the varsity competition at the West Sabine meet on September 17th.
